Initiating Strategic Collaboration for Potential Sponsored Research

HONG KONG, 16 February 2022 – Zhaoke Ophthalmology Limited (“Zhaoke Ophthalmology”, SEHK: 6622), a leading ophthalmic pharmaceutical company dedicated to the research, development and commercialization of therapies that address significant unmet medical needs, is pleased to announce that Zhaoke Ophthalmology has signed a current use corporate gift agreement with the Johns Hopkins University, to support translational research and academic exchanges.

As part of its ambitious growth strategy, including partnering with domestic and international institutions, Zhaoke Ophthalmology is honoured to announce the strategic collaboration with one of the world’s leading private research institutes –Johns Hopkins University. In addition to the corporate gift agreement, Zhaoke Ophthalmology has pledged a gift to the university to be paid in full by 2022.

The donation will be used to benefit the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute as a current use gift over the coming year to support:

- Translational research at Wilmer Eye Institute

- Academic exchanges and mentoring opportunities between Zhaoke Ophthalmology and the Wilmer Eye Institute, and

- Clinical and academic fund assessment

Zhaoke Ophthalmology plans to contribute two subsequent years of donation to identify and support sponsored research at the Wilmer Eye Institute. Further details for the sponsored research will be detailed in a separate, mutually acceptable sponsored research agreement.
